Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Course
Qualifications for this CourseApplicants must:
•be at least 16 years of age
•be able to read, write and speak English proficiently(8th grade level)
•conduct an in-person interview with school personnel
•be free of any communicable disease
•view patients in a holistic approach to improving their quality of life
•be able to multi-task
•possess critical thinking abilities
•sign a Criminal Background Check Agreement
•complete and sign all Aishling Care Academy training forms
•sign an agreement to disclose medical information
•complete a 2-step TB test and show documentation
•show proof of MMR Immunization & Physical Exam
•be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
•have an understanding of basic medical terminology
•have your own reliable transportation
Choose from 4 available sessions, each with an 8-week duration:
- Session A: 1/11-3/06/2021
- Session B: 3/08-5/01/2021
- Session C: 7/12-9/04/2021
- Session D: 9/20-11/13/2021
Classes convene every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6:00pm – 9:00pm.
Clinicals are conducted every Saturday from 6:00 am – 2:30 pm, unless otherwise stated.

CNA Course Information
A certified nursing assistant (CNA) is an in-demand position that can offer job stability and scheduling flexibility for individuals interested in the field of patient care.
A CNA helps patients with activities of daily living and other healthcare needs under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). CNA’s are also commonly referred to as a Nursing Assistant, Patient Care Assistant (PCA), or a Nurse’s Aid.
Who Should Attend?
If you have been thinking about a field in patient care or have been in a caregiver role and wish to grow your skills and pay, a Certified Nursing Assistant is the next step. If you currently hold a position as a caregiver during the day, you can keep working with this program.
